Super Hero Safety Rules For Kids

  • Around cars and roads you need a safe place to look, think and stand.
  • Before you cross the road STOP somewhere safe, LOOK both ways, LISTEN for traffic and THINK "Is it safe to cross?"
  • Help drivers to concentrate and drive safely by following Our Car Rules and always use SAFE BEHAVIOUR IN THE CAR.
  • In cars young children should be in a CAR SEAT or booster chair and everyone should wear a seat belt.
  • NEVER PLAY IN DRIVEWAYS, CAR PARKS,  ON THE ROAD OR CLOSE TO TRAFFIC.
  • When you are around cars, hold an adults hand or stay close to them.
  • AROUND CARS and roads you should WALK, NOT RUN.
  • Use the Safe Spot Exit Sticker to remind you which door is safest to exit in your car.
  • Always use the Safe Spot Door Magnet to enter and exit your car safely (rear passenger side door).
  • Every time you exit your car - WAIT AT THE SAFE SPOT DOOR until your supervising adult tells you it's safe to go.
  • When saying hello or goodbye to someone at home, wave from a SAFE SPOT away from driveways, cars and the road.
  • If you find yourself near danger, find a SAFE SPOT to wait and stand, then call for help from a trusted adult.
  • It's okay to use appropriate and polite language to REMIND ADULTS AND FRIENDS ABOUT SAFE BEHAVIOUR when traveling and around cars.
