Emotional Intelligence and Well-Being
For People of All Walks of Life.
This program is currently subsidised by Logan City Council. All Educational Facilities in Gold Coast and Logan City are eligible to participate for less than cost at just $7 while funding is available.
Emotional Intelligence, otherwise known as EQ is a key factor in a life with fulfillment and success - for any person.
Our Emotional Intelligence Community Program is created to foster EQ for people of all walks of life, so that they too can flourish and lead fulfilling lives, no matter what path they choose. We not only help people develop EQ, we encourage people of all ages to become Community Educators, by showing them how they can each help to educate peers, family and communities and play an active role in their own well-being, as well as the well-being of others.
We believe our youth are the key to meaningful education and to fostering a safer, smarter next generation, so we give them authority to speak and act accordingly, and we introduce them to appropriate articulation needed to chat to peers, parents, guardians and community members about well-being.
We want everyone to value safety and well-being and be able to speak up and play an active role for themselves, as well as for others, so our programs are all about helping people to understand and value the importance of expression, communication and emotional intelligence. We know that everyone can play a role in fostering happy, healthy and well balanced individuals and community members.
This Program, and it's topics can be tailored for people of all ages from early childhood to youth and adults and also professional development for educators and other professionals.

- Keys to EQ:
- Self-awareness – Recognising your own emotions and how they affect your thoughts and behavior. Understanding your strengths and weaknesses, and having self-confidence.
- Self-management –Being able to control impulsive feelings and behaviours when they arise, and being able to manage your emotions in healthy and socially acceptable ways, taking initiatives, being able to follow through with commitments, and adapting to change in situation or circumstance.
- Social awareness – Understanding the needs, concerns and emotions of other people (not being egocentric), picking up on body language, oral language and emotional cues of others, feeling comfortable in social situations, and recognising the power dynamics in a groups of people.
- Relationship management – Knowing how to develop and maintain healthy relationships with others, being able to communicate clearly, being able to inspire and influence others, having the ability to work well in a team, and effectively managing conflict when necessary.
